    Legend has it that the candy cane dates back to 1670, when the choirmaster at the Cologne Cathedral in Germany, while guiding rehearsal for the Christmas pageant, devised a special distraction to keep the young singers occupied. He pulled a peppermint stick from the pocket of his robe, warmed it over a candle and bent it into the shape of a shepherd's hook. The children adored the candy canes and would hang them from the trees outside and imagine they were shepherds traversing the high hills.

Special treat for my dairy free kid

I have been a Vosges customer for years and just last year I found that these peppermint Candy Cane Gnomes are dairy free. Our one kid that has to eat dairy free never gets a chocolate Santa so when she found these in her stocking she was so excited. They are rich and creamy and perfectly pepperminty.

Peppermint Candy Cane Gnomes - So cute for Christmas!

We purchased the candy cane gnomes for a Christmas gift for our son and his family. They have two children who are 7 and 5. They loved the little gnomes! So cute! The candy canes on the back were a big surprise! They loved them! It was a great gift as they are quite a unique little box of chocolate. Thank you for making them!
